COMPLIANCE & AUDIT READINESS
Your Customer Wants Proof. Know What Needs Readiness Work Before the Assessment.
A SOC report request, ISO certification deadline or sector obligation creates different evidence needs. We help establish the right scope, assess controls and organize remediation before your independent examination or certification assessment.
01
Begin with the requested assurance
Confirm who needs evidence, what they accept, which systems are covered and when they expect it. A certificate, SOC report, security risk analysis and completed questionnaire are different outputs. The readiness plan reflects the actual buyer or regulatory requirement.
02
Choose your framework
| Requirement | Route | Readiness focus |
|---|---|---|
| SOC 1 or SOC 2 report | SOC 2 Readiness → | Report scope, controls, operating evidence and CPA preparation |
| Information security management-system certification | ISO 27001 Readiness → | ISMS scope, risk assessment, controls and management-system records |
| Cardholder-data assurance | PCI DSS Readiness → | Scope, applicable requirements, evidence and assessment preparation |
| Requested HITRUST assessment | HITRUST Readiness → | Selected assessment route, requirement gaps and evidence |
| Healthcare/ePHI safeguards | HIPAA Readiness → | Role, ePHI risk analysis and safeguard evidence |
| Defense-contract security/CMMC requirements | CMMC Readiness → | Current contract requirement, boundary and assessment evidence |
03
What readiness provides
A defined scope, a control/evidence gap register, a prioritized roadmap and a management readout. Specific services add deliverables appropriate to the framework. Existing controls are reused where evidence supports the requirement; overlapping frameworks do not become an automatic claim of equivalence.
04
Before, during and after an external review
| Stage | Cyvelle work | External-provider responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| Before assessment | Scoped readiness and gap planning | Confirm its engagement scope and assessment method |
| During assessment | Agreed evidence/owner coordination | Evaluate evidence and reach its assurance conclusion |
| After assessment | Agreed remediation governance | Determine whether further review or action is required |
Audit & Certification Coordination → provides a separate route when the assessment is already scheduled.

Readiness questions
Will readiness guarantee a clean audit?
No. Independent providers make their own judgments based on the scoped assessment and evidence. Readiness identifies issues and preparation work.
Should we buy tooling first?
Start with scope, responsibilities and evidence needs. A platform supports the program; it does not establish effective controls by itself.
What if we face several frameworks?
The Governance Blueprint supplies an integrated starting assessment. A scoped overlap map supports coordinated evidence and planning.
